Emergencies outside office hours
If you have an emergency or complaints that cannot wait until the next day or after the weekend, you can use the Huisartsenpost Amsterdam. These can be reached at the number; 088-0030600. The nearest GP post is next to the AMC’s emergency room. Address; Meibergdreef 9, 1105 AZ Amsterdam. In case of a life-threatening situation, call 112.
Consultation by phone
For simple questions you can use the telephone consultation hour. This has the advantage that you do not have to come to the practice. To make an appointment by telephone, you can call the assistant.
How does it work?
You call the practice and discuss with the assistant whether you can get a telephone appointment with your doctor. The doctor will call you back at the agreed time.
Due to the current pandemic, we will often schedule a telephone consultation. On the basis of this telephone consultation, the doctor will decide in consultation with you whether a physical consultation is necessary.
You can call for an appointment on working days between 08:00 and 17:00.
For simple questions you can also use the telephone consultation hour or eConsult via the patient portal.
If it is not possible to come to the practice yourself, the doctor can also visit you at home. For example because you are too sick, (temporarily) disabled or have difficulty walking. The assistant assesses, possibly together with the GP, whether a home visit will be made.
You can request a home visit through the assistant daily from 08:00 to 11:00.
Request repeat medication
You can request repeat prescriptions:
- by handing the box with the old medication to the assistant
- by our repeat prescription line (available at all times, 020-2408400 option 2);
- by the repeat module in the online patient portal.
Medication ordered before 10 a.m. can be collected from your pharmacy after 4 p.m. the next day.
Please note that you are responsible for ordering your medication on time.
